Being a student generally is not for the faint hearted, in this case starting university can be truly daunting experience and emotions are often high. you are having the time of your life, but also probably moving away from home for the first time, you are in a new environment, you will be absolutely terrified the night before you go, but the fear will be mixed with excitement, saying goodbye will make you feel very nostalgic but you have to learn to be independent. However, with the excitement of being on your own comes the struggles and challenges of campus life.
So, how do you successfully navigate those roadblocks to make the university experience the best it can possible be? First you have to know some of the common problems you may face!
Potential challenges and how to deal with them.
1. HOMESICKNESS.

one of the first challenges you may face in university is missing home this is normally and lots of people go through this,

luckily, we live in a digital age so video call can help bridge that gap and keep you connected with your folks.
Do things you loved doing back at home.
2. TRANSITIONING TO UNIVESITY LIFE
Learning to adapt to the difference between university and high school is a common obstacle because you may have more assignments and your responsible for managing your time.
Solution.
Students can basically overcome this by making study groups and make friends.
3. FINANCIAL PROBLEMS FOR STUDENTS.
Most common problem is the high pace of tuition inflation. When you combine these expenses with the price of accommodation, food, supplies and transportation, you have recipe for overwhelming debt, which adds to the list of financial problems for students.
Solutions.
•Educate yourself on the loan structure.
•Consider on –campus jobs
•Create budget.
4.RELATIONSHIP.

Naturally, human beings, in this case, students, believe life is better shared or lived when they are emotionally and physically connected with each other, therefore they establish relationships (romantic, friendship, and acquaintanceships) with their peers when joining campus. Without carefully analyzing the type of people they let their lives, they end up accommodating toxic people in the guise of friends and patners, who later on pose a threat to their mental well-being.
Solution
. Get into relationship when fully ready and with reasonable person. Incase of misunderstanding, try to resolve the issue as soon as possible. If however the end result is break-up, ask for help. Consult a school counselor to help give accompaniment through the experience.
5HUSTLING WHILE AT SCHOOL
To cope with the high cost of livelihood, most student end up seeking employment while at school.the jobs available are not profession in nature but the students are forced to balance in between academics and social work.
Solution.
Look for a favorable job which enhances increment in your skills and do not tie yourself up with a job if you are not in in a financial crisis.
6.TEST ANXIETY.
This can manifest in different ways especially during exam.this can negatively impact a students performance ,leading to poor grades.
solution.
•Develop healthy study habits and learn effective test- seeking strategies to tackle anxiety.
•Try techniques such as deep-breathing exercises, visualization, positive self-talk and time management strategies.
7.LOW MOTIVATION.
The sheer effort required to earn your qualification can seem unattainable if you lack the internal motivation to succeed. You can see yourself stressed about every little thing.
Solution.
•Reward yourself
•Acknowledge what is stopping you.
•Communicate your fears.
University life has its up and downs. However, the life is worth giving it a shot. Remember,
“Challenges are what make life interesting. Overcoming them is what makes it meaningful”
